Previously, Phil served at The First Baptist Church of Stockholm, Maine as a bi-vocational Pastor. In addition to his ministry he also taught Elementary Music for The Fort Kent, Maine school district.
He and his wife, Gail, have been married since June of 1986. They have three children: Tim, who lives in San Francisco, CA; Caleb, who remains in Fort Kent, Maine; and Amanda, who is presently a commuter student at Jackson College.
Phil is an avid reader and also enjoys hunting and fishing, as well as long walks with his wife Gail.
Pastor Phil Devaney began serving at the Britton Bethel Baptist Church in August of 2013.
Phil received a diploma in Church Music from The Moody Bible Institute of Chicago, Illinois in 1985, and a B.S. degree in Music Composition from The Toccoa Falls College of Toccoa Falls, Georgia in 1991. He has also done extensive graduate work in both Music Composition and Music Education.
